Free tool

Free WhatsApp link generator with QR code

Create a free WhatsApp link (wa.me) with your number or username and the first message already typed. You also get a free QR code to print and a WhatsApp button for your website. Everything is built in your browser: nothing is sent, nothing is stored, no account.

Your WhatsApp

  1. Add your WhatsApp number

Your link, QR code and button appear here.

  2. Personalise the QR code

Drop your logo here, or click to choose one. Optional.

Built in your browser. Your number and message are never sent to us.

How it works

A free WhatsApp link in three steps

  1. 01

    Enter your number or username

Pick your country and type the number WhatsApp is on, or switch to Username if you have one.

  2. 02

    Write the first message

Optional. “Hi, I'd like to book an appointment” saves the customer the first sentence and tells you what they came for.

  3. 03

    Copy, print or paste

Copy the link for your bio and ads, download the QR code for print, paste the button into your website.

Where it works

One free link, every place a customer finds you

The same wa.me link works printed, on screen and inside a button. Change the first message per place and you know where each customer came from.

  • The counterA QR code by the till: the customer scans, and the first message is already typed.
  • Menus and flyersOrders and reservations go to the number you choose, not to whichever phone picked up.
  • Business cardsA QR code beats a printed number: nothing to type, no wrong digit.
  • Instagram and TikTok biosOne link in the bio opens a conversation instead of a profile.
  • Your websiteThe button goes anywhere HTML goes: WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow or plain HTML.
  • Ads and emailThe same link in a Google ad, a Meta ad or an email signature, each with its own first message.

The format

What WhatsApp expects in a link

The tool applies these rules for you. Here they are, for the day you build one by hand.

Linkhttps://wa.me/<number>?text=<message>
NumberFull international format: country code first, then the number without its leading zero, with no plus sign, brackets or dashes.
MessageURL-encoded. Spaces become %20 and line breaks %0A; & # ? are encoded or the text is cut off at that character.
Who sendsNobody, until the customer taps Send. The link only opens the chat with the text typed in.
Usernamehttps://wa.me/yourusername, without the @. WhatsApp is rolling usernames out gradually.
CostFree, for anyone. wa.me is WhatsApp's own domain: no Business API, no plan, no redirect through us, and nothing expires.
